This past August, I spent my summer holiday in Italy, my home country, surrounded by rugged, dry brown mountains and the shimmering blue expanse of the Mediterranean Sea. Each day, I took the time to walk on the shore, feeling the sensation of the sand underneath my feet and enjoying the refreshing sea water brushing my legs. In the afternoon, I would spend some time looking at the whispering pine trees, serenaded by the rhythmic song of cicadas. It was as though nature itself was offering me a warm embrace, one that soothed my soul and rejuvenated my spirit.
